SPRING IN TUCSON

THERE'S NOTHING LIKE THE THRUMMMM OF A HUMMING BIRD BUZZING BY YOUR EAR.
AND THE FLOWERS ARE BECOMING MORE NUMEROUS AND BEAUTIFUL. MONICA AND I VISITED TOHONO CHUL PARK YESTERDAY, AND THIS IS WHAT WE SAW.

WITH THE BRILLIANTLY BRIGHT LIGHT IN THE TUCSON AFTERNOON SUN, IT WAS EASY TO SHOOT THESE GUYS AT F3.2 TO ISOLATE THEM FROM THE COLORFUL BACKGROUND. WELCOME TO SPRING IN TUCSON.

but what kind of a hummingbird is this....a magnificent, or an "ana" or....? The yellow bill is what is confusing me.
This little beauty wouldn't leave his/her favorite bush, even for Leigh. It didn't care that Leigh was right there taking a million pictures (and good ones, I must say)!

Lets think about this for a minuet.... You have no job, you have nothing to do with your time, Monica was the one who was sick and yet she found time to update her blog. The birds are nice, but come now. The public wants new material....What the deal...

who is anonymous, come out and show yourself!!! I love the hummingbirds and hope they stay up and visible on blog for a long time. But I know what's coming....some B52 shots, Leigh went to Marana airfield without me and took interesting shots.
